Privacy Policy

Kundality ("we", "us", "our") operates the website kundality.com (the "Service"). This policy explains what information we handle, how we handle it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

Kundality is a product operated by Vectorchunks Pte Ltd (UEN: 202637922W), a company incorporated in Singapore. For any privacy question, contact us at [email protected].

2. Information we handle

Your birth chart details. To generate a reading, you provide your date, time, and place of birth, and optionally a name. These are used only to compute your chart and reading during your session. They are not stored in our database and are not retained after your session ends.

Your conversations. The questions you ask and the reading text you receive are processed to produce your reading in real time. The conversation is not stored in our database and is cleared when your session ends. We do not keep a history of your readings.

Account information. If you sign in, you provide your email address. Sign-in is passwordless — we email you a one-time code to verify your identity, and we never use or store passwords. We do not keep your email in plain text: it is stored as a one-way hash (an irreversible fingerprint used to recognise your account and to keep session and token audit records) and, separately, in encrypted form (used only to send your one-time sign-in codes and essential service notices).

Payments and tokens. Readings are paid for with tokens. When you purchase tokens, the payment is handled entirely by a reputable third-party payment provider acting as our Merchant of Record. That provider securely collects and processes your payment details and maintains your payment and transaction history. Kundality never receives, processes, or stores your card number or payment history — we receive only a confirmation that a purchase succeeded, which credits tokens to your account. We keep an internal record of your token balance and usage (credits added and spent) to operate the Service; this is a credit ledger, not payment information.

Feedback you choose to send. If you use the in-reading feedback option, the rating and any comment you write are stored so we can improve the Service, and your submission includes that reading's transcript, sent to our support inbox so we can understand and act on your feedback. This happens only when you actively submit feedback, and it is disclosed to you at that step. If you do not submit feedback, your conversation is not stored or sent anywhere.

Technical and security data. Like all websites, operating the Service generates ordinary technical records — for example your IP address, browser type, and requested pages — through the hosting, content-delivery, and security infrastructure that serves the site. This information is a standard part of how the internet works and is used for delivery, diagnostics, and abuse prevention. It is separate from the birth-data and conversation content described above, which we do not store.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use an essential cookie to keep you signed in during a session, security cookies from our infrastructure and bot-protection layer, and analytics/advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may break sign-in.

3. How we use information

• to generate and display your astrology readings;
• to authenticate you and keep your account secure;
• to operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
• to respond to your requests and communicate with you about the Service;
• to detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or technical issues;
• to measure usage and the performance of our content and advertising;
• to comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. How your data is retained

• Birth details: not stored in our database; used only to compute your reading during your session.
• Reading conversations: not stored in our database; cleared at the end of your session.
• Account email: stored hashed and encrypted (never plain text), retained while your account is active, and deleted on request.
• Payment details: never stored by us — collected and retained only by our third-party Merchant of Record payment provider.
• Token balance and usage: an internal credit ledger tied to your account, retained while your account is active and deleted on request.
• Technical and security records: handled by our infrastructure providers and retained only as long as needed for delivery, diagnostics, and security.

5. Service providers we rely on

We use trusted third-party providers to run the Service, and share data with them only as needed for them to perform their function. Rather than name specific vendors (which may change as we improve or migrate the Service), we describe them by category:

• Cloud hosting, content delivery, and security — to serve the website, defend against attacks, and prevent abuse.
• Email delivery — to send your one-time sign-in codes.
• Payment processing (Merchant of Record) — a reputable third-party provider securely collects and processes payments for token purchases as Merchant of Record, and keeps the associated payment and transaction history. Kundality does not receive or store your card details or payment history.
• AI / language processing — a language-model provider translates your computed chart into plain-English explanations. AI helps explain the result; it does not replace the classical astrological principles behind the reading. It receives the structured chart data and the questions you ask; it does not receive account credentials.
• Analytics and advertising — to understand how the Service is used and to measure our marketing.

The specific providers in each category may change over time. We keep this policy current, and you can request the present list of processors by emailing [email protected]. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the Service.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not store your birth details, reading conversations, or payment details, the main personal data we hold is your account email (stored hashed and encrypted) and your token-usage records. To exercise any right, email [email protected] and we will respond within the time required by applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act and, where it applies, the GDPR.

7. Data security

We protect your data with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), a passwordless authentication model, a bot-protection challenge on sensitive actions, and a security layer in front of the site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International users

Our providers may process data in various countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
