Because the windows are tied to local sunrise and sunset, their exact clock times shift by city and by season — which is why a fixed table is never quite right for your location.
Day and night use the same seven names but different starting points, so the sequence lands in different windows after dark. A time that is Amrit during the day can be Kaal at night. Always read the Choghadiya for the actual time of your activity — check the daytime table for daylight hours and the nighttime table after sunset.
